If my mind were a blog

It’s kind of hard to describe the profound effect Harry Potter had on my life.

I was 7 years old when the first book was released in Canada and now here I am, turning 20 in a matter of months. Harry Potter was one thing that completely brought my family together. My mom, dad, sister and I would all go to the midnight book release parties and we would all go and see the movies together on opening night. My mom, my sister and I would always snuggle up together on the couch or in my parents bed and my mom would read the books to us. We could have easily read them on our own, but this way we did it together. It’s been such a massive part of my life that I really can’t imagine growing up any other way. I truly hope that one day I’ll be able to meet JK Rowling at least so I can tell her Thank You.  

And above all look forward to sitting down, just as my mom did, and telling the story of Harry Potter to my kids someday. ♥ ϟ
