So today I had the most awkward experience ever…
I went into Zellers, I figured since they’re closing I could get things on sale. I headed straight to the electronics section since I just got a PS3 and don’t really have any games. The lady working was helping a guy around my age and I’m sort of wandering near them, waiting for her to finish so I can get her to open the case for me. While I’m hovering and she’s ringing this guy through she turns to me and this exchange happens:
Employee: Are you his girlfriend?
Me: what? uuuhhh, nooo
Employee: oh… Are you single?
Me: uhm…. yea
Employee: (turns to him) Are you single?
Him: uhh… yea
Employee: You should get her number (turns to me) although it would have to be a long distance relationship since apparently he lives in Ottawa
Me and the Guy: O_O uuuhhhh
At this point we’re both beet red, I look at the ground and he walks away.
The employee didn’t know either of us.
